Logan County 4-H History

Colorado’s first 4-H club was organized in Logan County in 1910.  Colorado club activities are guided by Colorado State University Extension in cooperation with local counties and the United States Department of Agriculture.  Local 4-H work is advised by volunteer leaders in cooperation with the CSU Extension agents, 4-H members, their parents, and interested citizens.

4-H provides learning experiences for youth ages 8-19, in which they develop skills for living including: communication, citizenship, decision-making, leadership, interpersonal and community and global awareness.  Members also learn life skills by completing any one or more of fifty project possibilities such as raising animals, creative clothing, cake decorating, rocketry, photography, and shooting sports.

To learn more about 4-H in Logan County, contact the Logan County Extension Office.  See phone number and e-mail above.
